Creating an account

Use your email and a password of at least 8 characters, including an uppercase letter, a lowercase letter, a number and a special character. Verify your email before your first sign-in. Verification links expire after 60 minutes; password-reset links expire after 30 minutes. Request another link if necessary.

Preferences are not permissions

Everyone starts as a learner. Community and PeopleX are included, but participation is optional. Teaching and organisation access require separate approval. Choosing a guardian preference does not provide access to another learner’s information.

Privacy and security

We store your name, email, password hash, account preferences and learning activity. Passwords are not stored as readable text. Verification and recovery tokens are stored as hashes. Your profile is not discoverable by default. A password reset invalidates previous account sessions.

Local development

When email delivery is not configured, localhost development displays a clearly labelled test link. This facility is disabled in production. Never share verification or recovery links.

Before public launch

The operator must publish reviewed terms, a complete privacy policy, support contact details, retention rules and age/guardian requirements. This operational guide is not a substitute for those documents.
